I haven’t done the project yet, but I have read the instructions, which are horrible for a first timer. I’ve done a ton of stained glass projects over the last 6-7 years, so I know what I’m doing generally. But this is the first time I’m making a dome-shaped Tiffany-style lamp, and these directions leave me a little worried and looking for someone who has done it before to help me with some of the hurdles (like taking half of it off the mold when it’s just tacked, not fully soldered)! I was a tech writer for 35 years before I retired, and I have a strong inclination to edit the really bad instructions. Just horrible! I’ll let you know how the “magic strips” (which don’t seem like magic to me at all) and the pattern work after I do the project. More to come…
