Crushed glass Frit is made from glass that is recycled from the production of Oceanside Compatible fusible sheet glass. All salvaged edges used to make Frit are separated from the other glass at the time of production to ensure that purity and expansion tolerance standards for Frit are consistently met. Fine and Powder grades are magnetically cleaned of metal residues. Available in Powder, Fine, and Medium Frit, 8.5 oz Jar.

We opened 8 jars of frit and not one had a seal, so the the one you had must have been an earlier packaging. We also weighed 8 jars that appeared the be various amounts in each jar. All of the jars weighed the same, regardless of the appearance. If the product in question weighed considerable less, I would have replaced it. By the pictures, I felt it was like the ones I have at our store. I offered to send a replacement if the jar in question was returned. The frit, especially powders, can appear to be less because of settling when shipping.
