The length of the LED strip is 6 1/2″ plus the LED base that goes in the basket. The Xtra large balloon measures 20″ from the top of the balloon to the bottom of the basket. If you want to put the solar balloon inside,  you can replace the solar battery with a AA Solar Converter Battery
