This diamond-impregnated core-style drill bit features superior long life and is ideal for drilling in both flat and contoured surfaces. Diamond grit is a full 360-degrees around the the bit. The diameter listed is the size of the hole drilled. However, it is somewhat nominal due to the fact that the diamond grit is plated on the bit. Sometimes the layer is slightly thicker, as it wears, the size gets slightly smaller. Drilling technique can also be a factor, since you are really grinding, not drilling. Final hole size could vary perhaps + or – 1-1.5 mm overall with all the factors considered.
