Adjustable Stainless Steel Mold for forming hot glass. Great for making stand up clocks out of bottles or slump fused pieces of art that stand on their own. If you need to adjust the glass position on the mold simply use primed kiln posts to elevate the glass for the desired bend.
It accommodates slumping projects up to 12″ long.
Mold dimensions are:
- 6″ wide
- 5″ tall
- 12″ incline
We recommend a slumping schedule that works with your kiln. Each kiln seems to have their own personality, but this is the schedule that we use:
Single layer (1/8″) heat 350 degree per hour until you reach 1250 degree-hold for 20 minutes. Drop the temp quickly to 960 degree and hold for 20 minutes then turn the kiln off.
Double layer (1/4″) Heat 250 degree per hour until you reach 1250 degree-hold for 20 minutes. Drop the temp quickly to 960 degree and hold for 20 minutes then turn kiln off.
